Our minds are continually tempted by various stimuli to draw our attention and energy outward. Meditation reverses this process by drawing the five senses inward, allowing the mind to come into one-pointed awareness. To know one’s self is the greatest act of self love, for only when we know our selves can we gain greater access to our own inner knowingness. It is when we are anchored in our own inner knowingness, that the infinite supreme wisdom can flow through us, allowing us to increase our awareness.
During a meditation practice, you will be guided to come back to self in stillness. Each meditation practice begins with breathing (pranayama) exercises to stabilize the mind and to allow any fluctuations of the mind to dissipate. Then, we introduce a seed sound or mantra which encourages the mind to remain absorbed into one-pointed awareness, allowing you to access deeper state of inner silence (shunya). Within this field of silence, all questions can be answered. Accessing this field provides one with deep peace, tranquility, joy, and bliss.
Meditation is for everyone but like any practice it requires consistent and persistence. No evolution can happen unless there is a true desire for personal growth and/or transformation.
